At the Adam-Lieleg winery, the red wines are mainly vinified from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes thrive in warm locations on light to moderately heavy soil. The ripening period and type of storage varies from wine to wine. Tasting notes:Deep dark red with black core. Very intense smell of herbs, elder, meadow cress and chamomile. On the palate it shows very complex and mineral, spicy and citrus aromas. The tannins are very ripe, soft and perfectly integrated. Long lasting in the finish. Grape variety: Zweigelt. Maturation: 24 months in new barrique. Drinking temperature: 17-18 °C. Storage potential: 10 years. Closure: screw cap. This Zweigelt is an excellent food companion and goes very well with strong cheese, red and dark meat.
