The distillery A.H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy around the 1840s but also to produce alcohol. The A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy FROGMAN Rum, as the name suggests, is dedicated to the 'Frogman' (combat swimmer). This blend consists of up to 20 years old rum distillations, which are made from molasses. Distilled in the traditional pot still process, the bottling is done without cold filtration and without adding caramel.Tasting notes:Colour: Deep dark amber.
