Stronachie, one of the legendary names in the archives of the vanished distilleries, lives on in this single malt. Decades after the closure of the Stronachie Distillery, A.D. Rattray purchased an original bottle from 1904 at auction. From this bottle a small sample of whisky was drawn, tasted and compared with samples of other Highland Single Malt Whiskies. This enabled A.D. Rattray to revive the delicate style and character of stronachie. The Stronachie is stored for 10 years in small Bourbon barrels, the used malt comes from the Benrinnes Distillery.
